Go Kart Parts Info

Frankenstein Engine > www.CarollStream.com

16hp, 420cc … This is a Lifan Motor.  I highly recommend them.  They are inexpensive Honda Clones, dependable, and can take a beating!

Frankenstein Torque Converter > www.BMIKarts.com

40 Series.  So far, I am quite impressed with this converter, it has withstood LOADS of abuse, and performed flawlessly.  It has held up well even with my modified 420, so far.

Throttle Cable Hardware > www.mfgsupply.com

This is a very handy link for all the small cable hardware.  Although none of it was used in the making of “Frankenstein”

Frankenstein Shocks > www.bmikarts.com

YerfDog Take Offs.  Sold as used, but in brand new condition.  Great Shock for the money, however, I will be upgrading my shocks in the near future.

Tires / Rims / Tubes > www.bmikarts.com

BEST DEAL on 16x8x7 Tires and Rims!  Too small for Frankenstein, but a great deal none the less.

Frankenstein Front Tires > www.tirewholesalers.net

20x7x8 Front Tires.

Frankenstein Rear Tires > www.tractorsupply.com

22x11x8 Rear Tires.  Bought in Store.

Brake Drums and Bands > www.gopowersports.com

5″, Carter specific.  Not Cheap, and very hard to find.  Fine for up to 18″ Tires, any bigger, I would recommend going to hydraulic brakes.  They won’t even slow Frankenstein down … Brand New!

Jackshafts > www.bmikarts.com

Frankenstein Sprocket > www.amazon.com

Martin #40, 70t.  Hard to find sprocket size in #40, did require enlarging the center hole and drilling bolt holes.  Search for “70 teeth sprocket” (without the quotations).  These are the toughest I have found, by far!
